Get a cup of coffee as I invite you to read "About Us" This part of "us" happens to be me, Mindy Bradley, the founder and president of Canine Crossroads Foundation. Crossroad Australian Labradoodles exists to produce Service/Assistance Dogs and provide wonderful companions to those who love the breed. Every puppy sold provides us with funding for training our upcoming Service/Assistance Dogs. Dogs and people are my passion! The melting of that passion came with the birth of Canine Crossroads, where I am able to help people by providing highly trained Service/Assistance Dogs. Not only do I love dogs, but I love puppies! At my home, I personally birth each liter, raise them, love them, enjoy the puppy breath and prepare them for their forever homes. I begin each litter with early neuro-stimulation and then test each puppy at 7 weeks of age with the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test. This gives me a good idea of those puppies that are suitable for potential Service/Assistance Dogs and the best fit for each companion home. Let me give you a bit more information about myself: I am a wife, mother and woman of deep faith in Jesus Christ. I am proud to say that my dear husband is a pastor and the love of my life. Our 2 daughters are in college attending Texas A&M University where they are excelling and making us very proud! WHOOP! The dog part of our family consists of: Chex (Border Collie - 11 years young), Marra (Italian Greyhound - 8 years young), Visa (retired racing Greyhound - 8 years young), Dimity (Australian Labradoodle - 1 year young), 2 cats, 5 kittens, 2 saltwater tanks and 1 rat. We just donated our dear Sunny (Umbrella Cockatoo) to the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler TX where he is going to spend his days educating the public about parrots and enjoying his free flight aviary. We have already visited him and he is doing well. Right now, I am personally in the fight of my life with stage 4 breast cancer. I can only rejoice in God's grace, the fantastic medical treatment I have received thus far and the love of my family! Currently, I am under the care of The Cancer Treatment Centers of America. They are an awesome facility that I highly recommend. http://www.cancercenter.com/midwestern-hospital.cfm Before going to to CTCA, I was under the care of The Mary Crowley Medical Research Center. It was there I found out about the return of the cancer and did experimental treatment for 1 1/2 years. Go to their website www.mcmrc.com on the "Communication and News Clips" page to view a couple of the videos where I've been interviewed this past year. We are praying for a cure as there are many who face this disease. While I may be going through treatments, it has not stopped me, just set me back a bit. I hope this gives you a glimpse about who I am. Email me sometime, as I'd love to hear from you! Copyright 2005-2007 Crossroad Australian Labradoodles |
